Hermès – with Parallel Studio

With Parallel Studio

“… and Alice very civilly went to meet her with the shawl.” – Lewis Carroll

It’s easy to get lost in Jonathan Burton’s illustrations. The elegant linework, the imaginative execution, the nuanced colors and how he applies them. And, of course, the details to explore in every corner.

To promote Hermès’ fine silk prints of Jonathan’s designs, we created an animated world, the size of a scarf. Ten seconds, eternally looped, invite viewers to leisurely explore the full texture of the art. Like a smooth light liqueur on a cozy afternoon. Behind the scenes we hid the technical expertise to emphasize the magic of the art with subtle motion; assured and confident. Bringing art to life is more than adding movement, it is to understand its sensibility and transfer that into something entirely new.
