The Brabanter is a fictional magazine inspired by The New Yorker’s iconic covers. Every two weeks, a new artist creates a cover that captures the unique character of Noord-Brabant. For edition 17, the assignment was to celebrate the makers who bring color to Brabant’s railway zones.
We developed an illustration bursting with energy. Bold, vibrant colors clash and complement: orange, blue, yellow, pink. The style draws from graffiti and street art, honoring the artists who transform industrial spaces into canvases. Trains, tracks, and urban structures frame the composition. Movement and rhythm capture the creative force that makes these zones alive.
An ode to the makers.
